Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

loner.gg (“loner”, “we”) is a browser game. This policy explains what data we collect and why. We try to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

  • A random player ID. When you first play we set a cookie (loner_id) containing a randomly generated identifier. It lets us track your game sessions and scores. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account — we don’t require one.
  • Game data. Scores and results you generate while playing, stored against that random ID.
  • Theme preference. A loner-theme cookie remembering light/dark mode.
  • Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

Analytics

If enabled, we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It does not track you across sites or collect personal data.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure performance; Google may use advertising identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. For visitors in the UK, EU and other applicable regions, a consent prompt is shown before any advertising or non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your choices at any time. You can review and control personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center. See how Google uses data for details.

Your rights

Under UK/EU data protection law you can request access to, or deletion of, the data tied to your player ID, and withdraw consent for advertising cookies. Because we don’t collect names or emails, you may need to provide your loner_id so we can find your data. Clearing your browser cookies removes your local identifiers.
